The Japanese Maple came in the mail yesterday. The leaves are just so pretty. I hope it can survive Minnesota winters. I may have to keep it in a container and put in the greenhouse in freezing months.
I bought a few gardening books, too. It's a steep learning curve. I'm learning to pick out which are weeds from the rest of the plants growing in our yard. We have ferns, moss, orchids, white pine, birch, cypress, hosta, ... The maple will feel like home. :)
I am posting this from the airport. We are on our way to Las Vegas and Death Valley National Park for the weekend!
