The “new” old house renovation continues… We’re about five weeks into it. Each week passing is becoming more exciting but equally stressful. There are too many shades of white and gray to pick from. I’ve skimmed about a dozen books on interior decorating. I found out how much I “dislike” grouting (hate is a strong word). I spent the weekend with a frumpy outfit and paint on my hair and eyelashes going through different types of bathroom and kitchen fixtures! I can’t wait to move in and sip my tea by the family room and gaze at my greenhouse and the lovely backyard.
Until then, my photography project is set aside. I am posting this late as I haven’t really taken time to go out and shoot. The picture above is from the Minneapolis Home and Garden show.
There are days I sit and wonder how my life turned unexpectedly. A year and a half ago, I was contemplating on living a nomadic life then, I met a boy who just got back doing exactly that. And now here we are, looking at garage doors and enjoying our purchase of a “masker” (supposedly makes applying painter’s tape a breeze) and cheese spread on a Friday night.
“In the morning when I wake
And the sun is coming through,
Oh, you fill my lungs with sweetness,
And you fill my head with you.”
