We closed on our St. Paul house yesterday! The next 5-6 weeks are going to be busy renovating the house and putting our personal touches in. We hope to be moved in by March 1st. The house was built in 1910, it is beaming with history and stories in every nook and cranny (like this ornament hanging on the vintage chandelier in the dining room).
John, the former owner had the house for more than 50 years. He built the additions himself. He loves the house so much, it’s been hard for him to let go. We let him know it is in good hands. We are about to fill it with our own story.
“Life hangs on a narrative thread. This thread is a braid of stories that inform us about who we are, and where we come from, and where we might go. The thread is slender but strong: we trust it to hold us and allow to swing over the edge of the known into the future we dream in words.” – Baldwin, Storycatcher
