We are back from Patagonia and I am currently busy sorting photos from the trip. This has been one of the best trips of my life! I've always wanted to go there since I saw Torres del Paine on the cover of an old National Geographic brochure!
I can't believe there's only 7 weeks left in my 52 week photo project! I would say my photography has improved about 20%. I have become more mindful of how and when I take photographs (composition and timing). There are still a lot of challenges. I feel like I am constantly searching for the perfect photographic tool (right lens and camera combination) and struggling on the elements of exposure. Then, there's that creative block.
However, I have also discovered that my joy in taking photos will always be in nature and landscape. I love the details in flora and showing negative space to emphasize grandeur and scale. I do not like modern cities and architecture because rigid lines confuse me, I never know what to do with them. And once in a while, I fall in love with streets and their dark nooks and amazing people.
